In 2010, the NICU at Women & Infants Hospital established a program to treat and follow our patients with severe bronchopulmonary dysplasia, known as BIT:S (Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia Interdisciplinary Team: Severe).
The BIT:S program has seen many successes. These successes have driven us to continually meet the needs of our vulnerable babies with BPD. The program is headed by Dr. Barbara Stonestreet, Dr. Martin Keszler, neonatologists, and three Hasbro Children's Hospital physicians, Dr. Karen Daigle - pediatric pulmonologist, Dr. James Ziegler - pediatric cardiologist, Dr. Robin McKinney - pediatric intensivist.
The following poster keeps the healthcare team up-to-date on the BIT:S program.
